Guide
Keep track of your Bomb Party collection and Wishlist
Once you’ve been to a few live reveals, it gets hard to remember exactly what you have. Is that the ring you already own, or the one you’ve been wanting? Sparkle Finder gives you two simple lists to keep it straight: your collection and your Wishlist.
This guide is part of the Sparkle Finder FAQ.
What is a virtual collection in Sparkle Finder?
A virtual collection is your list of the Bomb Party pieces you own, saved in Sparkle Finder. Saving to your collection is part of Silver, which is free during the beta.
Think of it as your jewelry box, minus the tangled chains. You can add pieces as you go, a few after each show, instead of cataloging everything in one sitting. Each saved piece links back to its page in the jewelry library, so its details are always a tap away.
It’s also handy right before a show. A quick look at your collection tells you what you already own, so you can focus on the pieces you’re missing.
How do I add a piece I already own?
Find the piece in the jewelry library, open it and tap I own it. With Silver, it’s saved to your collection. On your Collection page, the same button reads I Own This.
The fastest way to find a piece you own is the item number on its label. You can also search by piece name, stone or collection, then narrow things down with the Collections, Materials, Stone / gem, Type, Label and Year filters.
If a piece you own isn’t in the library yet, open your Collection page and find Showcase Studio, under “Missing from the library?”. Add a photo of the full original label, a clear jewelry photo and the item number exactly as printed, then tap Send to Showcase Studio. You can also save it with Find it for me: tap “Save this as a wish anyway”, then tap I Own This on that wish.
Start with how to look up a Bomb Party piece.
How does the Wishlist work?
The Wishlist holds the pieces you want. With Silver, tap Save on a piece in the jewelry library, then tap Add to Wishlist on your Collection page. If a piece isn’t in the library yet, Nic-Nac’s Find it for me can still add it.
Once it’s saved, the button changes to On your wishlist. Your Collection page keeps owned pieces and wished-for pieces on separate Owned and Wishlist tabs.
Find it for me also does some legwork for you. It checks reps’ Dance Floors and counts a lead only when that rep has a show in the next 48 hours, along with the show time. That keeps you from chasing a dancer whose rep isn’t going live anytime soon.
Alerts aren’t available yet, so for now, check back on your Wishlist and the reps you follow.
What’s the difference between my collection and my Wishlist?
Your collection is for pieces you already own, and your Wishlist is for pieces you want. Both live in Sparkle Finder, and both are part of Silver.
Keeping them apart sounds obvious, but it saves a lot of second-guessing. When you’re looking at a Dance Floor during a busy week of shows, you can check your collection to avoid doubling up and check your Wishlist to remember what you were after.
When a Wishlist piece finally comes home, tap I Own This on it so your lists stay accurate.
How do I use my Wishlist when it’s show time?
Open a piece on your Wishlist to see whether a Sparkle Suite rep has it on the Dance Floor and when that rep’s next show is. Then tap Visit Rep Site to head to the rep’s Sparkle Suite site.
Dancer swaps happen on the rep’s Sparkle Suite site during the live show, and the rep makes the final call. Sparkle Finder doesn’t take swap requests, but it helps you walk into the show knowing which dancer you want.
Following the reps who often have pieces you like makes this even easier, because their next show times sit right in Sparkle Finder.
Which plan includes saving?
Silver. Your collection and your Wishlist are both Silver features, and Silver is free during the beta with no card needed to sign up.
The Free plan covers browsing: the jewelry library, Dance Floors and show times, plus following the reps you like. Silver adds saving to your collection and Wishlist, plus Nic-Nac and Find it for me.
If you mostly want to see who’s going live next, Free does that. If you want Sparkle Finder to remember what you own and what you want, that’s Silver.
Can I show my collection to friends?
Yes, with Sparkle Showcase, your public collection page. It’s private by default, and you choose when to make it public and which pieces it shows.
Once it’s public, you can share the link with friends and family, and other collectors can follow your Showcase and leave comments. There’s more in the Sparkle Showcase post.
Your collection is for what you have, and your Wishlist is for what you want. Keep both up to date and every show gets a little easier to plan.
